Another tragic post of the night, regarding the annihilation of MAS flight MH17. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the passengers onboard. It saddens me how one moment your heart is beating and you're perfectly breathing. And then the next, you're in a situation in which you can't control. Leaving your heart to stop beating and you to completely stop breathing.

                      And there's absolutely nothing you can do about it when your time has come. The scariest part is when it was totally unpredicted. But also not forgetting the heart stopping moment when you wake up in the middle of the night to drive to the airport to meet your loved one and...they just never show up. A few minutes later, you get the news that the flight they were on crashed and there were no possible chance of survivors. How would you feel? To find out that you'd never ever be able to see that particular person alive again. To know they won't be smiling at you no longer. Did you say your best goodbye? Did you contribute any form of happiness to them when they were still alive? Or did they unexpectedly die with a shabby goodbye from you?

                     As my mom said before, "We mostly don't cry at funerals at the thought of them not being present in our lives anymore. We cry the most at the thought of regret. Not doing the things we could've done. Taking them for granted. Not saying the things you've wanted to say. The regret and guilt inside you is what makes you cry."

I've not lost anyone very close to me...yet. Alhamdullilah. But, I have a feeling she's right. Thus, always say goodbye like it's your last one. You never know what could happen. 

                     Anyways, May Allah grant the souls peace and may Allah help the families and friends of the passengers face closure. Amin
