Paris
From
London, we took the Eurostar train to Paris. I was having terrible period pains
and the coldness didn’t help AT ALL. I forced myself to sit on the seats there
at the train station but guess what, they were FULLY made out of metal which made my whole lower body literally almost
froze.
We then
reached the Gare Du Nord Eurostar train station in Paris and took a taxi to our
hotel, Prince Albert Opera Hotel. The taxi guy looked exactly like the falafel
Phil guy from Kickin It on Disney XD. My mom forgot where she kept her euros so
the guy was nice and friendly enough to let us pay in pounds.
The
hotel was mini sized but still nice and convenient. Right at the front would be
a halal burger shop and right next to the hotel would be Galleries La fayette.
After seeing ‘Taken’ , I was pretty much really scared to ever go to Paris .
The elevator was so freaking small it could only fit 2 people. How is it going
to fit my brother, I , my mom and 4 of our suitcases. We had to take turns and
all. It was really scary to me somehow...
Oh
and right around the corner of the buliding would be where Zara, Uniqlo ,
H&M and all the other stores be at. Shopped at Galleries La Fayette because
going to Paris and not buying anything there is not a legit statement. My mom
says Paris is colder than London but I feel it’s the other way around but both
were pretty much 1-2 degrees celcius in difference.
Although we only
spent 2 nights in Paris. We did get to go sightseeing around Paris. As like we
did in London, we went up ‘The Big Bus Tours’. We went to Champs Elysees ,
Trocadero & saw lots of the other really famous historical stuff. Also did
we get to be at the top of one of the 7 wonders in the world, The Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel
Tower was so amazing. It’s like a dream when you finally get to touch it and
look at it so closely when all you ever did was see and read about it on Tv,
magazines and in novels. Before going up
there, breakfast was hot chocolate and croissants. That’s what we ate most of
the time in Paris. I’m pretty sure I know how to order those two in french now.
Went to
the summit of the Eiffel Tower and damn the view was amazing. The elevator ride
was creepy though. The 3 walls of the elevator were all transparent and you
could see the metal structure of the Eiffel Tower and down below so clearly
making it seriously breathtaking but creepy. Up above was windy and airy. As
high as the Eiffel Tower is , Burj Khalifah in Dubai is TWICE the height of it but i’ll get to that later.

Paris
from up there looked really pretty and packed. Went down when we were satisfied
but didn’t take pictures of the small field behind or at the front (i’m not
sure which but I know it has fountains and green grass) of the Eiffel Tower
cause that’s the part where you’d usually see in movies like Selena Gomez’s
‘Monte Carlo’. The part where she and her friends got left by their tour bus .
Damn I love that movie.
Went back up the sightseeing bus and we
stopped by the love bridge! I didn’t know of it’s existence until I watched the
movie ‘Now You See Me’ in the plane on the way to London. The love bridge is a
long bridge in Paris that is full of padlocks. People would come by and write
their lovers name and all that and lock it to the bridge then throw the key
down below for it to be “Forever”. That was the most interesting thing i’ve
ever seen in my whole entire life. I bought a padlock there and did mine too so
did my mom and all that. It was just REALLY REALLY amazing.
The
next morning unfortunately, we were going to leave Paris and head for Dubai. I
felt sad because we were going to leave the early winter cold and head for the
extreme desert heat. Once I was inside the airport, that’s when I knew I was
really going to miss the cold.
